The lid removal fixture is ideal for testing packaging containers with solid trays. Shown here a lower grip holds the sample in place using a vacuum clamp for the sample tray. Then a set of pincer grips are placed with a chain to self adjust as the sample is opened simulating a customer opening a food container.
This fixture can be adapted for use in testing of trays, cups or materials that are difficult to be clamped with for opening force and other packaging applications.
